Here is a very brief overview and some excerpts from the material sent to those who wish to look at our C.I.S program more closely. If you would like to receive more information about this class, please click the blue button to the left to learn more about applying for the class.
Why should competency matter to you as an instructor?
Well, for one, we're working with people. It's business, but it's also up close and personal. And some clients want us to help with their skill improvement. Higher scores. More consistency. Discussions on what shooting methods and strategies to use. This would be a formal lesson where instructor competency surfaces - or not. This is where the level of instructor training successfully handles the student's many questions and issues - or not. This student - a paying client - expects to leave with new information and knowledge - useful answers to her questions - and a better, more reliable, more trustworthy swing. This is why a Paragon certification class is more comprehensive.
The Professional Associate class places a major emphasis on how to successfully interact with people of both genders, all ages and all skill levels - the art of teaching - the most important aspect of teaching.
If an instructor steps into the shooting box behind a client and feels lost - it's because A) he doesn't have a plan, and because B) he doesn't have the teaching knowledge to handle what's about to happen. That's why Paragon Instructor Certification classes are more comprehensive - more complete - so this does not happen to you.
We believe it is the entry-level teacher who should have the most time in school, and the most training, not the advanced. Which is why we have a 5 1/2 day Professional Associate class and not 2 or 3 day. We thoroughly cover the day-to-day situations that are so common in instruction - the hands-on techniques & methods you must have if you are to deliver professional, meaningful instruction to your clients.
It would be fair to say our program is an advanced program. This doesn't mean the training is for working with advanced students only. Quite the opposite, Paragon training prepares you to work with all students from E to M class, wing shooters, corporate and social shooters. Competently.
Thank you for your interest in our C.I.S. program.
